Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator

General needs of the company

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and audits

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Supply Chain Manager

• Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of products

• Management of the physical inventory of company assets, including recording, labelling, and monitoring of resources.

• Conducting periodic audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory data.

• Collaborating with other departments to update and maintain the asset register.

• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in the inventory.

• Preparing detailed reports on asset inventory for management.

Purchasing Management:

• Liaise with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for required materials and products

• Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets

• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing of orders

• Track orders and deliveries, ensuring that received items match purchase orders

Receiving and Shipping:

• Manage the receiving of goods, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders

• Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labelling, and documentation

• Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries.

Who you are:

• High school diploma or equivalent, associated degree or higher preferred

• additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is a plus

• Previous experience in a warehouse and/or purchasing role highly desirable

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with inventory management software

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
